KCRW played this song this morning on Morning Becomes Eclectic. (Which, first of all, that is awesome. Best radio station ever, hence why I listen from my iPhone in Chicago). Anyway, I was at work not feeling particularly ecstatic, and this was such a fun change of mood! I’d forgotten about this song until this morning. Consider it unforgotten.
Fare Thee Well- Marcus Mumford & Oscar Isaac
Today is grey and windy and chilly. This song is a perfect backdrop. It is becoming very difficult for me to get anything done this afternoon.
This is the second track on the soundtrack for the upcoming Coen Brothers flick Inside Llewyn Davis. You can stream the whole thing on NPR right now.
Wicked Halloween Playlist to add some spook to your day.
I haven’t posted a song in forever! Or maybe a week. This is what I’m currently listening to, as I sit and waste time online, pouting about my sore throat. Alas, winter is here. LA, I miss you and your temperate climate!
Thanks KCRW for this “new” music find!
Another good one from the 16 year old Kiwi. On Fallon last week (last week?) she definitely seemed to have some swagger.
And I’ll say it again- how are all these great musicians coming out of a country with 4 million people? I don’t know but all I’ll say is: Keep it coming, NZ!
(And Cat Power)
Mmmm I love this. I found this song from this ADORABLE little girl and her papa.
As you may not know, I purchased the iPhone 5S today, and I am pretty excited about it. I tried out iTunes Radio. Which I can’t quite figure out…it’s not an app yet? It’s a website/iTunes feature? Still learning. Anyway I started a Lord Huron radio station and found this! I love it. GREAT sound.
Early fall playlist! (Fall starts September 22nd but that’s basically today).
Defined Lines- Blurred Lines Parody Stands up for Women!
You’ve probably seen this already- in the last 10 minutes I have run across 3 different sources sharing it on the Internet- but if you haven’t, watch it! This one is good.
P.S. YouTube briefly took this video down due to it being inappropriate, but must have realized how incredibly stupid that was (double standard, anyone?) because it’s back up there.
